Citizen journalism faced a major test recently, when a fraudulent report surfaced on the Web, claiming that Apple CEO Steve Jobs had been hospitalized with a heart attack. Renay San Miguel, a former CNN Headline News anchor, says the incident should be a wake-up call for CNN, which carried the initial report.
