Visit: http://www1.youreletters.com/t/1568020/19551167/1592868/5292/ **************************************************** THIS WEEK IN THE HSI HEALTHIER TALK COMMUNITY Like so many HSI members who are looking for some guidance to address a health concern, a member named Hayat went to the Healthier Talk community forums and posted a request for help in finding a vitamin B12 cream with no chemicals to treat eczema outbreaks. Herhc: "Hayat...get underneath the outbreaks...why are they there? Then we're able to find the right treatment protocol. Creams are fine, however there are different types of creams for different conditions. The internal contributing factors, which would cause the outbreaks should be established and once we find those, then the right cream, facial cleanser and physiological Rx can hopefully be applied to deal with the cause(s)." Freckles: "Try changing your diet up. My guess would be, the food you love the most and eat daily, and believe you cant live without that's the food you will be allergic to. In the mean time while you are trying to figure all this out, try putting some colloidal silver on the eczema, and try washing with tea tree oil soap." Hayat responds to these suggestions by posting an e-Alert ("Where to Start" 6/19/08) that details the use of omega-3 fatty acids in treating eczema. Carlton: "When I was studying Omega 3 EFA, I was surprised by the number of studies that showed that Omega 3 was beneficial to eczema. You'd think a prescription of Omega 3 would be de rigueur for eczema but, apparently, it's not that well known by dermatologists. I knew someone who had raging eczema. She said her derm never mentioned it. Well, I did, and it helped her immensely." Abel: "Yes that is correct. With American dermatologists. The rest of the world? No." NaturalHealthNut: "Why would an American doctor prescribe Omega-3s? There is no money in that for them." Abel: "Currently, at least one big pharmaceutical company is working on an omega-3 combination pill. Patented of course." Ari Gato: "You might be interested to know that some American doctors do prescribe fish oil. There's a fish oil 'medication' available only by prescription. It's generally prescribed to patients with elevated triglycerides." Liverock: "A pharmaceutical scam. I recently visited a pharma rep forum where one of them was bragging about making $38k p.a bonus selling [fish oil] to the medical profession. He countered the criticism about the high price by saying patients were only having to pay the low co-payment and what were people complaining about. To him the insurance industry is just a cow to be milked." Talk to your doctor before adding omega-3 supplements to your daily regimen to address eczema. There are men out there 10 years older than you experiencing some of the best sex of their lives. But now YOU have the key to unlock the beast within, complete with the surging desire it takes to rattle the walls and wake the neighbors. And it's all done naturally and side effect free. http://www1.youreletters.com/t/1568020/19551167/1592116/5428/ Monday, October 6, 2008 Don't Worry, Be Happy! Last month, the FDA published proposed guidelines for regulating genetically engineered (GE) animals for consumer consumption and drug development. But here's the question: Do you want to know when you're eating GE-manipulated food, or would you rather be kept in the dark? The FDA has decided to keep you in the dark. http://www1.youreletters.com/t/1568020/19551167/1592870/0/ Tuesday, October 7, 2008 Hot Flashes & Cold Needles Why would a woman who isn't depressed take a high dose of an antidepressant drug with side effects that include nausea, headache, sleep disorders, constipation, dry mouth, hypertension, dizziness, tremor, and loss of physical strength? Good question. The answer is disturbing, but the alternative is completely free of side effects. http://www1.youreletters.com/t/1568020/19551167/1592871/0/ Wednesday, October 8, 2008 "I Lost 77 Pounds of Fat in less than 4 Months And You Can Too!" Fitness "experts" claim you can only burn a few pounds a month WRONG! We'll tell you about an alternative therapy that's safer and possibly more effective. http://www1.youreletters.com/t/1568020/19551167/1592872/0/ Thursday, October 9, 2008 Failing the Smell Test Why did government "health officials" cancel a trial designed to test the effectiveness of chelation therapy on autistic children? Let's just say that powerful drug companies that make vaccines really didn't want this trial to see the light of day. So drug companies win, and autistic kids and their parents lose. It's nothing less than infuriating. http://www1.youreletters.com/t/1568020/19551167/1592873/0/ **************************************************** RAVEN MAD Well, they didn't get it done...again. No, the Ravens lost another heart-breaker against the Titans on Sunday for their first home loss of the season. And much like last week against the Steelers, they dominated most of the game but couldn't manage to pull off the W. No, instead, they snatched defeat from the jaws of victory again. You can blame it on Matt Stover missing a chip shot field goal at the end of the first half. Or on the bad "roughing the passer" call late in the 4th quarter. Or on the number one defense that couldn't stop their opponents on 3rd down. Or you could blame it on a special teams unit that let Tennessee return for far too many yards on every kick. Or on the rookie QB that threw only interceptions and no touchdowns. But why choose? There's plenty of blame to go around. And they better figure it out because the Ravens' schedule does not get much easier from here. This week, they fly to Indy to face Peyton Manning, who's coming off a come-from-behind win (not a come-from-ahead loss like the Ravens). And in the weeks ahead, they face the dominant NFC East. Yes, the games only get harder from here even the seemingly easier ones. I mean, we certainly can't consider the Miami game in two weeks a sure-win. After all, we were the 1 in their 1-15 record last year. **************************************************** More bang for your buck!
